It's the second-longest river in North America, and it flows right through our region! Mississippi Gateway Regional Park is a popular destination for locals and vacationers alike. Several rails run through the park, including the Gateway Trail and Island View Trail, both of which are loop trails with plenty of riverfront mileage.
This park has an off-leash dog area, a picnic area, and a boat launch, making it perfect for a weekend afternoon with family. Visit the Nature Center to learn more about the local flora and fauna. It's open from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Saturday, and noon - 5 p.m. on Sunday.
